Mr. Joy Alenchery is a rubber dealer with a difference.

has achieved a notable place today among the 7500 rubber dealers in the country.Mr. Alenchery entered the rubber trading scene in 1986 with his firm J & J Trade Links in Kottayam with a small capital when veterans were dominating the field. During the early period, Mr. Alenchery used to collect rubber sheets from estates, societies and big dealers and then send it to Carona Shoe Company, his main buyer. Gradually his sphere extended to Changanacherry and Tiruvalla. Later he started purchasing sheets, ISNR, centrifuged latex, etc, from several sources and sold them to the North Indian buyers. Today his customer list adorns big names like Ranbaxy, Coir Foam India (P) Ltd, Cadila Groups, Gareware Groups & Horiaki India Pvt Ltd, etc. A successful trader because of his hard work and his good relations with all sorts of dealers, Mr. Alenchery is ranked among the big dealers whose average turnover touches almost Rs. 150 lakhs a year. ![]() A well-informed person with up-to-date knowledge about the rubber industry, Mr. Alenchery believes that the rubber industry has a great future. In his busy business life Mr. Alenchery finds time for social and cultural activities too and he is connected with several organisations in Kottayam. He is the vice-president of Ranjini Sangeetha Sabha and that itself is an ample proof for his attachment to art and music. His wife Annie, who was chief chemist in Park Davis in Bombay, resigned her job to help husband in his business. |
