Our initial activities were on supply of Indian Natural Rubber consuming industries outside Kerala like Footwear, Pharmaceuticals, Gloves, mats, Rubberised coir mats Belts etc.The prominent Indian companies like Johnson & Johnson, Ranbaxy Laboratolries, Carona Ltd.Casil Health Products. Coir Form Indian Ltd.,Fenner India Ltd,Hindustan Composites Ltd,Ferolite Jointing Ltd,Gareware Elsatomers etc.were our main buyers with a turn over Rs.50 lakhs from 1986 could reach 5 crores in 2005.

KOTTAYAM we call this district - the LAND OF LAKES, LETTERS AND LATEX. The name Kottayam means KOTTA - AKAM i.e, interior of a fort. Rulers of Munjanad and Thekkumkur had their head quarters at Thaliyil Kotta at Thazhathangadi in the present Kottayam Town. It is commonly believed that the name Kottayam derived from the KOTTA AKAM of Thaliyil Kotta. Though Marthandavarma of Travancore attacked Thekkumkur and destroyed the palace and the Thaliyil Fort, the remnants of the palace and fort are still seen here.

Natural Rubber (NR) is produced from the crop harvested from rubber plantations both in the latex form as well as in the field coagulam form. Latex is a milky white dispersion of rubber in water and field coagulam is the auto coagulated latex on the tapping panel (tree lace) and the collection cups (shell scrap and cuplumps). Both the latex and field coagulam harvested from rubber plantations being highly susceptable to degradation by contamination on keeping, have to be processed into marketable forms that will allow safe storage and marketing.
